A long line of men wearing special hand woven silk gho, printed yellow scarf and walking barefoot in a single line each carrying a tea pot and saffron rice during a very important ceremony know as Zhugdray Phunsum Tshogpa during 2nd June 1974 coronation of the fourth King Jigme Singye Wangchuck. There are twelve men carrying tea pot and nine men caring saffron rice. This ceremony of Zhugdray Phunsum Tshogpa is performed with the belief that it will enable us to receive blessings of the material energy but also serve as a method to accumulating merits. In the background we can see part of Tashichhodzong. This is the main office of all the Ministers, king and the monk body. [Dawa Dem 4/9/2009]
