On Cech"s list describing prints:"F. W. became Political Officer in Sikkim on January 4th, 1933.(Photos 1-30 were taken in and around Gangtok).26. "Dances at Gangtok 8.5.33"26c. There are six "defenders of the faith" (chos-srung) masked dancers. They are wearing wooden painted masks ("bag) and sumptious silk brocade costumes. They are surrounded by a circle of armed chaprassays. The ritual they are performing is most probably gcod. There is an ornamental applique tent in the background."
