Biodiversity in Nepal: Bee protection

The European honeybee is hardworking and efficient. Since it produces more honey than Asian local bees, this species was introduced in Nepal in the 90s. The consequences were serious, as the parasites they transported decimated the Asian bee population alarmingly. La abeja melífera europea es trabajadora y eficiente.
