New filter system could help curb Bangaldesh arsenic poisoning

In Bangladesh, drinking water from wells can be deadly. That's because of naturally occurring arsenic in the groundwater, which is highly toxic. The World Health Organization, WHO, calls it the world's largest case of mass poisoning. But a new filter that uses rice husks to clean contaminated water could help solve the problem.
