As the worst floods in 60 years recede in the northern Indian administered state of Kashmir, the scale of the devastation is slowly revealing itself. Nearly 300 people have been killed and thousands have been displaced or are homeless. Attention is slowly veering towards the reasons and causes behind this unprecedented natural disaster, and on ways to make communities more resilient in the future.
