Context A female character usually accompanying the royal party in the story portion in a Kolam performance. Material Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica). Iconography A small mask similar to specimen no. 1916.9.248. The face is painted in yellow. The forehead band represents the frontlet of a dancing girl. It is decorated with the normal petal motif, pala-peti (Sin.), coloured in red and yellow. The hair on the head flows down the cheeks in the form of two curved tresses.
