Svart ansikte med röda tinningar. Underkäke rörlig. Det vida gapet har stora trekantiga tänder. Kräftögon. Vid ögonbrynen fjädrar i stället för hår, först en rad med omväxlande röda och vita fjädrar, därefter en rad svarta, kan kanske också tolkas som en pannring. Däröver reser sig kronan med sina stora uddar. Öronskivor saknas. Material Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica). Iconography The ears are missing. The head-piece is composed of five large spires or prongs painted in red, black and light green, flanked by four smaller ones painted in black. The rim consists of two decorative bands, one comprises of black triangular pieces, the other is decorated with the usual petal motifs painted in red and white. The mouth is open and the lower jaw is detachable. The face is excessively painted in black. This is in contrast to the paint employed on other masks of this genre. However, the goggle eyes and the painted eyebrows display characteristics similar to specimen no. 1916.9.319 and 1916.9.334. 2000 07 17 Dr. M. H.
