Dansdräkt som som kommit till museet genom gåva av f.d. chefen för Dansmuseet Bengt Häger. Dräkten har tillhört hustrun Lilavati som är den indiska klassiska 1900-tals dansens förgrundsfigur. Ett 20-tal dräkter ingår i gåvan, klassiska indisk dräkt, och dräkt som övrgår mot modern indisk dans. Lilavati kom till Sverige på 1950-talet, och har gjort ett stort antal föreställningar. Dräktjacka av violett siden med inplockat mönster, bårder av vävda band i rött, grönt och metalltrådar runt midjan och de korta ärmarna. Fodrad med ett bomullstyg i ljusare violett. Jackan bär spår av att ha varit mycket använd. Solkig, fläckar, veck. Solkig under armarna och i halskant. Några lösa trådar. Sidentyget blekt. The costume has belonged to the wife Lilavati who is the foreground of the Indian classical 1900s dance.
