India Dansdräkt som som kommit till museet genom gåva av f.d. chefen för Dansmuseet Bengt Häger. Dräkten har tillhört hustrun Lilavati som är den indiska klassiska 1900-tals dansens förgrundsfigur. Ett 20-tal dräkter ingår i gåvan, klassiska indisk dräkt, och dräkt som övrgår mot modern indisk dans. Lilavati kom till Sverige på 1950-talet, och har gjort ett stort antal föreställningar. Dräktbyxor av grön siden (?) med invävda metalltrådar i ett randigt mönster. Vävda band i rött och metalltrådar runt vristerna, längst insidan av benen, samt ett veckat parti av samma textil mellan benen. Fodrade med ett bomullstyg i grönt. Byxorna bär spår av att ha varit mycket använda. Solkiga av smink, fläckar, veck. India Dance costume that has come to the museum by gift from the former director of the Dansmuseum Bengt Hägar. The costume has belonged to the wife Lilavati who is the foreground of the Indian classical 1900s dance. A 20th century costumes are included in the gift, classic Indian costume, and costume that practises modern Indian dance. Lilavati came to Sweden in the 1950s, and has made a large number of performances. Suit trousers of green silk (?) with woven metal threads in a striped pattern. Woven ribbons in red and metal threads around the ankles, the far inside of the legs, and a pleated portion of the same textile between the legs. Lined with a cotton fabric in green.
