Scenen i mitten föreställer en dans av män och kvinnor kring en gudabild i blått (möjligen Kri/shna). > It is indeed Krishna who is dancing in a mystic way with the gopis (mildmaids) multiplying himself so that that the gopis have the feeling that they all dance with Krishna. In the middle Krishna is once more represented in his actual blue colour. This very popular theme in Chamba is called Rasa Lila. These pieces of cloth (Rumal) were used to cover offerings to Krishna at shrines and marrige ceremonies.
