The Seto Macchendranath festival at Asan Tole is performed yearly between April and May for around four days, depending on the lunar calendar. The White Macchendra god is carried from his temple near Asan Tole in a ceremonial procession to a huge chariot, which will be pushed through different areas in Kathmandu.
