Female charms, intrigues, duplicity and betrayal in filial/marital affairs, jealousy, revenge - all these female traits are inbuilt in female anatomy and find expression in the whole Indian literature right from its origin to the most modern literature. This Cleopatric syndrome is one of the dominant themes in a significant body of classic and modern literature. The present collection of anecdotal stories is specimen of this genre of literature but while narrating several female traits, the whole composition borders on the pornographic.
