The partially effective control by the various fungous enemies of the white fly was an additional argument for the introdution of the natural insect enemies to supplement the work of these beneficial fungi. [...] This first stop was made in response to a request from the Minister of Agriculture of Spain that the writer demonstrate before the orange growers of that country the procedure of hydrocyanic-acid gas fumigation in the destruction of scale-insect pests of citrus trees. [...] In addition to the natural' advantages resulting from the fact that it has been the headquarters of the Goernment and that it is the largest city with very much the largest white population of any Indian city it contains the Indian Museum the largest if not the oldest institution of its kind in the Orient. [...] Quaintance of the Bureau of Entomology in examining the Maskell collection collie to the conclusion that the Aleyrodes auranrui of Maskell was the same species as Aleyrodes citri R. & IL the citrus white fly pf Florida.
