[...] The Vengalapuram project in the Nellore district the Velgode project in the Kurnool district the Polaveram island'extension project and projects for the improvements of the Veeranam tank and of the KurnooCuddapah Canal were under the consideration of the local Government. [...] As regards the disposal of the Cossye and Selye floods which intermingle with those of the Damodar at the head of the Rupnarain it is prposed to divert a portion of the water from the two rivers to a point lower down the Rupnarain river by means of a cut across the southern side of the Chetooa Circuit Embankment. [...] The headworks and the first 71 miles of the main canal are designed also to supply the Oudh Canal which is now under investigation and which will irrigate Pilibhit the northern part of the Shahjehanpur district and the area between the Ghogra and Ganges rivers up to the western borders of the Allahabad Jaunr pur and Fyzabad districts.17 The table below shows particulars of the more important pr
