[...] His Highness expressed words of emetic rammment and sympathy with the work and efforts of the Society In conclusion 1 beg to tender my best thanks to the Patrons and Members of the So-iely awl also to the press in particular for their active co-operation in furthering the objects of the Society. [...] SIR With reference to your letter dated the 22nd May last to the address of the Private Secretary to the LieutenanGovernor I am directed to state for the information of the Members of the Calcutta Literary Political Society that the Government of India have acknowledged the receipt of the address of congratulation presented by them to Her Majesty the Queen-EmPress on the occasion of the a [...].Gentlemen the best thanks of the Society are hereby tendered to those who have shown sypathy with and appreciation of the effort of the Society and who very kindly took part at the Meetings and expressed words of encouragement with the work of the Society.
