This description is not sufficient to enable one to form an idea of the value of the species which has to be compared with the several species described from the Malay peninsula. [...] 'the greatest peculiarity of the species is the sinulus of the aperture. [...] There appears to be a great deal of affinity and the comparison of the types may probably result in making the Perak form a variety of IL breviseta Pfr. [...] and the short description of the shell agrees very well especially the remark that the live shell is covered with a layer of mud. [...] If my supposition as to the identity of the two species be correct the question arises whether the rules of priority require that the species should be called Cyclotus 'owl de Morg.
