Summary
The identity of this Kflkur with the place of the same name on the northern bank of the Colroon in the Lalgudi taluk in the regi( n in which other places of Vila-nadu are found shows that the i\lktiru or western part of the Muttarriyar-nadu inc'uded within it places to the north of the Coleroon'and.doubtless the entire region of Vila-niidu. [...] The location of the places situated in this Vil.anadu discloses that it comprised of parts of the modern Tirucchitappalli taluk lying to the south of the Kavijri and the adjoining parts in the Lalgudi taluk lying to the immediate north of that river. [...] Mattarasanalltir the western border of the Vila-nadu reminds one of the rule of the Muttaraiyar in the Tirucchirappalli taluk and is in confirmity with the revelations made in the records of the Pallavas and the Muttaraiyars. [...] was the north-eastern boundary of Kaviranadu and lay south of the Katliti and south of the Idaiyarra.nadu and Poygaina
