We have heard it said that it was the impression of some of the members of the Bar Association that the conference of the Bengal and Assam Lawyer.' Association would be held somwhere outside Calcutta. [...] Detailed new; of the conference including the inaugurtion by the Chief Justice was published in all the important Dailies of the city for days together before the conference. [...] The members of the Bar Library under the Constitution of the Bengal and Assam Layers' Association are not members of the Association. [...] 226 of the Constitution does not mean any purpose other than that of the protection of the personal direct and legal rights of a citizen and accordingly the jurisdiction under the Article can only be invoked by one who has suffered a legal injury at the hands of the executive Goverment of the State or some tribunal in respect of the aforesaid rights. [...] 133(1)(c) of the Constitution of India and accordingly the order passed by the High Court on a refeence thereunder in the exercise of its discplinary jurisdiction is not open to appeal to the Supreme Court.
