Summary
Wheels.—Interest and Depreciation* on the original cost of sinking the well the cost of setting up the Persian wheel and the cost of repairs replacements etc. [...] The allocation of the first is in the propotion of manual labour put in on each area and that of the other three in the proportion of bullock labour performed. [...] The following table shows the groupings of the holdings the normal rainfall of their tracts and the nature of cultivation i.e. [...] The areas of the different crops grown on each holding are shown in the statistical section separately for irrigated and unirrigated lands and the table on the following page shows the areas according to the Agricultural Tracts. [...] (a) Items of Eipenditure.—The table on the next page shows the cost per acre of the various items of expenditure for the different types of holdings; full details appear in Statements VII-A and VII-B and the following table shows the importance of each item of expenditure on a percentage basis.
