In Jalna: ‘Muslims don’t count’

In more than one instance, Muslims in rural Maharashtra have found the local police unwilling and hostile when asked to register complaints about Hindus attacking them. They say the cops are quick to book Muslims for alleged crimes with alacrity, but they have to fight and plead for the same privilege when they are attacked and bullied
