Dr. Shahid Siddiqi, a renowned poet of Urdu was born in Walled City of Hyderabad-Daccan). Dr. Shahid Siddiqi graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad with a degree of Commerce (B.Com). In 1964 he went to London-UK to shape his professional career. After getting training in Public Accounting from London, Canadian Government invited him to Federal Capital of Canada known as Ottawa, where he started his successful professional life as well as his poetic journey. He attended various reputed poetry events organized by Government and non-Government Organizations.
